- In body technology is already acceptable in the form of replacement surgery (artificial joints, pacemakers, etc). The audio implant is the first commodity based in-body product. Augmenting our body's communication skills it enables a form of telepathy. A micro-vibration device and a blue tooth reciever are implanted in the tooth during routine dental surgery. The tooth communicates with an array of digital devices, such as mobile telephones, radio, computers, or a dedicated device (acts as the long range reciever, and is used to fully customise the set up).
- Sound information is transfered from the tooth into the inner ear by bone resonance.
- Sound reception is totally discreet enabling information to be recieved anywhere at anytime.
- The project explores social and cultural impact. Technology of this kind has the potential of re-write Darwinism, as future advantageous mutations will not be random, they will be chosen by the individual.
